This is a Swedish saying which means ''Away is good but home is best!'' which is exactly how I felt when I came home today.
It was such a good trip, did so many fun things and got to catch up with some amazing friends and meet new ones! Haven't caught up with Lauren like that for a long time, so it was good to stay with her and really hang out and get to see her life in Perth. It was also good to get out of the little town where I live for a while and get a change of scenery and actually see some of Perth (I confess, I barely know anything about it).But coming home is always lovely, just settle back into your own room and catch up on the things that have happened while you've been away. I missed out on Elsa's birthday so I said Happy Birthday to her properly and give her the lollies I bought (I gave her a present before I left). Mum had repainted several walls in the house (including my room). It's now beige instead of white with one blue wall, which I think is a lot more sophisticated and suits me better. My room looks fresher and feels bigger now! Lotta had had an operation to remove a cancer lump on Friday and she looked so sad, poor puppy. I gave her a proper cuddle, I hate seeing her like this. We had steak with jasmine rice, stirfried veges, steamed corn and bearnaise sauce for dinner which was amazing. Then I had a long, hot bath with candles, rose soap, played Lana Del Rey and drank coffee.
Mmmmm.
Now to get stuck back into life! School starts on again Thursday and I have a LOT of work to do before then, so I'll be busy with that. I've also got a photoshoot tomorrow and work tomorrow night.
Party on Saturday though, so that's something to look forward to!
